Teddy & The SaddleTramps came together in 2020 in Denton, Texas, with Teddy Moore out front. Their musical address sits somewhere between the honky-tonk, the rockabilly dance floor and the rock ’n’ roll bar: country roots with room for a rougher edge.
The first chapter arrived while much of the world was standing still. Recorded during the summer 2020 shutdown at Denton’s ReelTime Audio, Shindig was produced by Teddy Rich and Ted Aldine. Its four songs—“California Woman,” “Lie to Me,” “Seventeen” and “Paybacks Are Hell”—introduced the band on record. The EP was released on August 25, 2020.
The catalog continued with “Fun at Parties” and “Not Blue for You” in 2024, followed by “Court of Public Opinion” in July 2025. The band’s official site also spotlights “Not Blue for You” as a selection for the Texas Country Music Association’s Best Texas Country Picks, Vol. 7.
There is another side to Teddy’s place in the scene. As host of BYOG Live! at 156 IceHouse in Krum, he is part of a platform where other performers step up to the microphone, too. The open-mic podcast is presented by Alambar Entertainment.
